Best Places To Elope In Vermont

Whether it is you, your partner and the great outdoors, or a handful of friends and family, the term eloping has really evolved. Why elope? Creating a small, intentional celebration just for you is the goal, each is crafted for the couple so that your day revolves around the fun, romance, and adventure that you want!

Vermont has some of the most iconic, gorgeous views year-round, but especially fall through winter. Whether you’re thinking of eloping in Burlington or Stowe Vermont, we can make sure it’s picture-perfect.

Below are some of my favorite spots, and the best places to elope in Vermont.

Thompson Park, and Barnes Camp Visitor Center

With snowy mountains or bright foliage behind you, these two local parks are within minutes of Stowe and create an amazing background for your bridal portraits! Barnes Camp is right next to the Spruce Peak lodge and the Stowe Gondola Skyride operates from July-October so you can get that epic top-of-mountain view.

Stowe The Quiet Path

The Quiet Path is a low-impact extension of the Stowe Rec Path for walkers and joggers only. Perfect for peaceful moments by the water surrounded by views of Mount Mansfield and Stowe Town! Dog friendly and easy to access, it’s a great spot for the ceremony and bridals!

Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Vermont

From elopements to weddings, proposals, and more, I love Shelburne Farms. The backdrop of Lake Champlain and the Mountains is an amazing touch to any session. The formal gardens by the Inn are a perfect location for a ceremony or portraits.

City Hall – Burlington or Stowe

Let’s make this thing easy! City hall is the perfect spot for an elopement or micro wedding. Make an appointment to get your marriage license and return it within the hour for an expedited day! With gorgeous city vibes, Burlington City hall is a wonderful spot to start and maybe move to the lake for portraits. Stowe also has a city hall, plus access to all of the portrait locations above.

Interested in setting up your own elopement, or have a unique idea? Not all micro weddings have to be so public, sometimes an intimate moment in your Airbnb or hotel is just right. Not sure what to do? Contact me and Let’s chat!
